HELP! Ask Andy This section is for people with a computer problem. Just Ask Andy for help!
Andy - I am with Orange and I am receiving over 300 "spam"
emails every day and I am about to throw my computer away! I tried
using a spam filter but then I got NO emails at all! Is this the
best I can expect?
Hi JD - I had a look at your spam and it does look
terminal. The spammers have you in their mailing lists and have sold
you to hundreds of "businesses" mostly in the USA. I would advise
getting rid of your current email address and get a new email address from
Orange.
Now if you want to add your email to that mailing list you just use a "throwaway" email address. Freeola is not just about "email addresses". They also offer free hosting. I use them for my Domains and my Broadband account as well as some throwaway email addresses. They are Excellent! Now as for Orange! I undertook to help JD - I logged on to Orange - spent quite some time trying to find out how to add a new email address AND GAVE UP! Most ISPs allow you to add up to 5 email addresses - this does not seem to be the case with Orange. I sent an email for assistance and the answer was more confusing than the web site. The latest email from them tells me to get a new e-mail address on the pay as you go system. What is JD paying for?
Hi Andy.
Q I have a Digital camera and the SD card was nearly full so I started to delete some of the photos. Imagine my horror when I accidentally erased ALL f the SD card. Is there any way that I can restore these photos (Im afraid I neglected to save them to my computer). Ian.
SoftPerfect File Recovery is a free and useful tool to restore accidentally deleted files from hard and floppy disks, USB flash drives, CF and SD cards and other storage media. It supports the popular file systems such as FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS and NTFS5 with compression and encryption. If your important files disappeared and you can?t find them in the recycle bin, try this software product and get the files back to life. Easy to use, no installation is required. You will need to use a "Card Reader" - just slip the SD card in the reader - run the File Recovery program and point it to the SD card - the rest is easy. | ||
